Energy efficiency in industrial plants
Comprehensive solutions for steam and thermal energy systems focused on loss reduction, operational efficiency and environmental protection.
Energy losses in steam systems
Steam and thermal energy are essential utilities in most industrial processes, and generating them requires considerable amounts of fuel, water and chemical treatment. In installations without proper design or maintenance, a significant share of that energy is lost before it reaches the process, through faulty steam traps, valve leaks, unrecovered condensate and networks operating without control or monitoring.
These losses result in higher fuel and water consumption, higher emissions and lower production efficiency. Reducing them is one of the most effective energy efficiency measures in industry.

Main sources of loss
Steam traps
Traps that fail open discharge live steam; traps that fail closed cause condensate build-up and reduce heat transfer in equipment.
Valve leakage
Wear of conventional gland packing causes leakage through the stem, resulting in energy loss and risks to personnel and the surroundings.
Unrecovered condensate
Condensate contains treated water and usable thermal energy. Discarding it increases make-up water, fuel and chemical treatment consumption.
Control and monitoring
Without pressure and temperature regulation and system monitoring, operation drifts from its optimum point and fault detection is delayed.
